Have and willing to share for free after July, 2011 (but do express your interest now), one of John Kimantas' wonderful books giving an in-the-kayak view of a part of the coast of British Columbia, The Wild West Coast 3 covers B.C. South Coast and the East Coast of Vancouver Island. 536 pages covering from the Gulf Islands through the Sunshine Coast, Desolation Sound, Discovery Passage, and Johnstone Strait, to the Broughton Archipelago and Queen Charlotte Sound. The kayaker at Ecomarine on Granville Island who sold the book to me said John Kimantas has written the best books about the coast from a paddlers' perspective. So far, even using the book as a planning tool for a sailboat cruise and not for kayaking, it does seem that the claim is a fair one.
Don't have but interested in sharing amongst a group, to see how one works and how it would fit (or not) into our lives.
Have. Willing to rent out. $10 a day. $200 deposit. Or put into a tool pool. Karcher cold water (soap can be added) electric 2,000 psi. Model 5.68. Brand new 1Jan2011.
Have it and willing to share it for free. This book, with a sub-title of A "cheat sheet" to the Four Steps to the Epiphany has a forward by the author of that book, Steven Gary Blank. The authors are Brant Cooper and Patrick Vlaskovits. Published in 2010.
Have and would be happy to share this book, by Jessica Livingston,of stories about entrepreneurship. Published in 2008. Paperback.
There's a squirrel in the attic. I want it gone but not dead. I'm looking to find an animal trap to borrow or rent for short term. I have experience trapping small mammals (for research purposes) and I take good care of tools.
Just a nice photograph, from the office window, of a slice of Vancouver, British Columbia, as winter comes on.
Have and willing to rent for $7.50 per day with $70 security deposit. This small battery-powered Brother Label Maker is ideal for labelling things like electrical wires, circuit breaker panels, books, and equipment and for posting semi-permanent small notices. It connects via USB cable to a personal computer. (For mobile label making, such as at a boat, using a laptop works best.) The label maker is ready to run on being connected to the computer. No need to download software. In addition to your own computer, you will need to buy a label printer cartridge. They are available from Staples for about $25 each. You can make labels with different size fonts, in bold or italic typeface, etc. (The photo shows the keyboard of a laptop that is not included.)
I would like to establish a pool of individual-owned but shared legal reference books for use by lawyers practicing corporate-commercial law in the Broadway corridor (Burrard to Cambie) and South Granville (Granville Street Bridge to West 16th Avenue) area of Vancouver. The books that I would make available for loan within the pool are:
- British Columbia Company Law Practice Manual (2 volumes)
- Due Diligence Deskbook
- Buying and Selling a Business
- Commercial Leasing (Annotated Precedents)
I have this book and am willing to lend it to anyone interested in marine navigation who is a member of the Vancouver Power and Sail Squadron.
I have this machine and am willing to rent it or free-share it with other lawyers or swap its use for access to other office equipment.
This machine makes up cerlox bound booklets of various thicknesses with 8-1/2" x 11" paper. Suitable for preparing small numbers of presentation booklets, for example, for use in court.
This is a sharing group to share tools in the West Point Grey area of Vancouver. If you have wood working, metal working, or construction tools; are willing to put some of these tools in the pool; would like access to other tools; and might be interested in joining the tool pool, please send me a message through this site. Tools so far are: circular saw, table saw, electric drill, compound miter saw, polisher/sander, and compressor. The photo is a representative one of various tools, not a photo of the actual tools in the pool.
Serviceable but plain jane and somewhat old 10" Craftsman (Sears) table saw available for rent ($15 a day or $60 a week) or free share (if you join Vancouver Tool Pool #1 -- see http://www.sharablethings.com/interests/73). Photo is of a newer and better-looking saw.

Have. Willing to rent out for $7.50 a day or $20 a week or free share if you join Vancouver Tool Pool #1 (see http://www.sharablethings.com/interests/73). Photo is of a similar tool.
Wanted for use only twice a year, for a short haul between marina and home, when putting into or taking the sailboat out of winter storage. I would be happy to make a financial contribution in lieu of rent or a work contribution (such as greasing the axles).
The trailer photo shown is of a Highliner trailer and is for representative purposes only. The boat to be carried is a 20' Vivacity with double bilge keels, so a trailer with high side support rails or fore and aft support rails would be ideal. For details of the boat to be transported, please see http://www.sharablethings.com/interests/29.
A book by Steve Blank about customer development for startup entrepreneurs.

Freeshare. Wonderfully clear book that might help you decide on your type of dog. A gift from a friend, it would be nice to see it help others, too.
3-section somewhat worn maple veneer board room table needs a good home for an indefinite period. Suitable for a struggling startup where a table is more important than the impression it makes. You may use it for free but return it on two months' notice. If I don't want it back, it will be yours or yours to dispose of. (The boardroom table pictured is to give you the idea of a boardroom table. It is better than the one available. Credits to Global Worldwide for the picture. If you want a new table, Global Worldwide might be able to supply what you need.)

A location where we could locate a lock box, near our office, so that when we lock ourselves out or lose our keys, we could get another from the lock box instead of having to go all the way home to get another key. The photograph shown is of a type of lockbox we understand to be commercially available. We would be prepared to pay a small fee or provide a reciprocal service.

Not a sharing interest. Just an interesting sign about sharing, seen at the University of British Columbia.
Live Animal Cage Trap (Havahart Model #1025), a humane way to catch squirrels, weasels, chipmunks, rodents, and other similar-size nuisance animals. Available for rent ($5 a week). And I hope you will record your experiences in using it in the messages section of this sharing interest. The photograph shows the cage loaded, with an apple slice as bait (thanks to a local doctor's prescription). (But note that experienced humane trapper Grims suggests using nuts...and has other good advice in his message.)
I would like to share a parachute or hang glider with someone
