jenly is interested in sharing Garden in need of tlc

Flower garden with lawn in the Collingwood (Kingsway-Boundary) neighbourhood of Vancouver. Needs some care. Might suit nearby apartment dweller. Free sharing opportunity. Actual garden looks somewhat different than the Pagoda shown at Kew Garden in the Wikipedia photograph here.

litsa is interested in sharing gardening

I have a small garden in West Point Grey in Vancouver which could be improved, so I am looking for help in re-designing it and sharing in the looking after it. Might suit a retired person living in the neighbourhood (10th and Alma area). Until I can add a picture of my garden, here is one from Wikipedia of a Japanese garden.

organicgirl is interested in sharing Garden Space Available

My husband and I live on a one acre lot in Maple Ridge. Approximately half of the space is actively gardened by myself, and the other half largely vacant. I have often considered that there must be many people that love to garden but do not have the opportunity to do so. The property is one block from a bus stop. I envision two types of share agreements:

1. Use of the already established gardens. No commitment is required, anyone that wants to occasionally put their hands in the dirt is welcome to come help anytime.... established flower beds where you can plant things, weed, water, hoe, dead-head, prune, etc. I have shrubs, trees, hedges, fruit trees, perennials, annuals, rose bushes, shade gardens, flower gardens, etc. However, the user retains absolutely no ownership of anything planted, anything assisted with, any improvements, cannot cut flowers to take home, cannot remove anything planted and possesses absolutely no legal rights to anything in the garden; OR,

2. Create and maintain your own space in the area that is currently vacant. Whatever you want... as long as it's legal, non-commercial and non-invasive! Vegetable garden, cut-flower garden, or ??? Maintenance, watering, and upkeep would be the complete responsibility of the user and I make no effort to assist with anything. Any 'proceeds' remain with the user.... plants, produce, flowers, seeds, etc.

With either option above, this property is completely 'organic' in the sense that there absolutely cannot be any use of pesticides, chemical fertilizers, etc. Users are welcome to set up their own compost for home waste, on the understanding that it is a certified bear-proof container.
