The plan is to share a sailing-adventure holiday, re-tracing (if that is possible) the "course" of the Dulcibella in the 1903 English spy novel "The Riddle of the Sands" (about which see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Riddle_of_the_Sands), by sailing from England to Germany, particularly through the shallow waters of the Frisian Islands, and, ultimately, back to England. We would need to charter a shallow-draft vessel. This would be a voyage for real sailors and navigators, although we might do it in the summer instead of (as was the case in the novel) mostly October. Price: currently unknown. Timing: currently unknown. Skill sets required: seamanship, navigation, cooking...Number of sharing parties wanted: perhaps 4-6. Pic is from Wikipedia's photograph of a first edition of the novel.
Live Animal Cage Trap (Havahart Model #1025), a humane way to catch squirrels, weasels, chipmunks, rodents, and other similar-size nuisance animals. Available for rent ($5 a week). And I hope you will record your experiences in using it in the messages section of this sharing interest. The photograph shows the cage loaded, with an apple slice as bait (thanks to a local doctor's prescription). (But note that experienced humane trapper Grims suggests using nuts...and has other good advice in his message.)
3-section somewhat worn maple veneer board room table needs a good home for an indefinite period. Suitable for a struggling startup where a table is more important than the impression it makes. You may use it for free but return it on two months' notice. If I don't want it back, it will be yours or yours to dispose of. (The boardroom table pictured is to give you the idea of a boardroom table. It is better than the one available. Credits to Global Worldwide for the picture. If you want a new table, Global Worldwide might be able to supply what you need.)

Serviceable but plain jane and somewhat old 10" Craftsman (Sears) table saw available for rent ($15 a day or $60 a week) or free share (if you join Vancouver Tool Pool #1 -- see http://www.sharablethings.com/interests/73). Photo is of a newer and better-looking saw.
This is a sharing group to share tools in the West Point Grey area of Vancouver. If you have wood working, metal working, or construction tools; are willing to put some of these tools in the pool; would like access to other tools; and might be interested in joining the tool pool, please send me a message through this site. Tools so far are: circular saw, table saw, electric drill, compound miter saw, polisher/sander, and compressor. The photo is a representative one of various tools, not a photo of the actual tools in the pool.
